九州はおとなしい

メーリングリストで勉強会の案内が届きました。

学生向け、初期研修医向けのskill up seminarやcase conferenceは専ら東京で行われます。
やっぱ東京は熱いなー！
それに比べ、九州は･･･
気候が温暖なせいなのか、もしくは土地柄なのか、あまり新しいことをやろうという人は、いない。
変化を拒む教授陣・大学病院。

もうお話になりません。


しかし学生は違います。
こないだ佐賀大学医学部の子がうちの勉強会に来てくれたけど、その子もおれと同様鼻息荒く症候学(症状から診断をつける学問)の楽しさを語っていた。
久留米大学で行ったconferenceも手ごたえを感じた。

アメリカやフィリピンの医学生(行ったのはフランスの病院だけど)はやる気に満ち溢れていた。日本の医学生も、そんな人は沢山いる。
せめて学生のやる気だけは、汲み取って欲しい。


We have little chance in Kyushu to join the significant seminar or case conference for students and doctors in residency.
It is no need to say that such events are took place typically in Tokyo, the capital of Japan.
I think many people in Kyushu don't participate or take place them actively. As long as I know, professors in my university hospital hate the change in medical education, especially student participation in the ward (NOT observation).
Do you know how to avoid being hammered when the nail sticks out?
